Zephyr’s Topaz™ employs CelluloSlideTM and maleimide-activated Zephyrin as a tool for the production of self-fabricated peptide microarrays. Topaz™ is a unique self-fabrication tool for the design of a personalized microarray by the end-user. This "plug-and-play" kit contains three main components: A) CelluloSlide™, B) sulfhydryl-reactive Zephyrin, and C) an internal standard for assessment of the proper fabrication step of the conjugated Zephyrin on the CelluloSlide™. The Topaz™ kit enables scientists in biotech industries and academic institutions to easily and effectively tailor their own microarray.

ClearAvidin™ from Zephyr proteomiX is a modified form of avidin which is isolated from chicken egg whites. ClearAvidin has no carbohydrates, eliminating nonspecific binding problems caused by sugars; unlike streptavidin, ClearAvidin Protein has no Arg-Tyr-Asp sequence, which can be a source of binding to cell surface molecules.
