Polyclonal Antibody Production
Polyclonal antibody production from 2 rabbits:
- 70 –day conventional protocol
- ~10 ml pre-immune serum
- ~50 ml immune serum
Note: The rabbits can be maintained on a 3-4 wk cycle of immunization and bleeding as required by the project. The client tests the immune serum for interaction with antigen, which will determine whether the process should be continued, modified, or terminated.

Polyclonal antibody production from 2 chickens:
- 70–day conventional protocol
- ~10 ml pre-immune serum
- Antibody from 12 eggs ~12 partially purified to 20-40% purity
Note: The chickens can be maintained on a 3-4 wk cycle of immunization and bleeding as required by the project. The client tests the immune serum for interaction with antigen, which will determine whether the process should be continued, modified, or terminated.
